Mackea Joy is a public health professional with over 18 years of experience in data analysis, program management, and nonprofit service delivery. She currently serves as the Community Compass Liaison for the Middle Tennessee region, where she leads strategic outreach, fosters partnerships with community-based organizations, and supports the implementation of closed-loop referral systems to strengthen care coordination and social support networks.

Previously, Mackea worked as a Public Health Preventative Education Specialist with the Metro Public Health Department in Nashville. In that role, she led targeted community engagement efforts, developed and delivered health education programs, and mobilized coalitions to advance health equity across underserved communities. Her broad career includes impactful leadership roles within state agencies and nonprofits, such as the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Health Care Finance and Administration, and The Mary Parrish Center. She brings deep expertise in Medicaid/TennCare oversight, compliance auditing, provider training, and client-centered advocacy. Mackea excels at leveraging data to inform policy, improve program outcomes, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Mackea holds a Master of Public Health from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Crichton College. Her work is grounded in a passion for equitable systems of care and a commitment to driving measurable change through collaboration, community empowerment, and evidence-based solutions.
