New Webinar Series: Age-Friendly in Rural Tennessee

Announcing the Age-Friendly in Rural Tennessee Webinar Series

The Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHA) is excited to launch a 6-part webinar series focused on strengthening aging services across rural communities in Tennessee. Beginning Oct. 2, these webinars will be held on Thursdays weekly at 12:00 PM CST and are open to healthcare providers, community leaders, advocates and anyone interested in improving the lives of older adults.

Why This Series Matters

Rural Tennessee communities face unique challenges when it comes to supporting older adults. From access to healthcare and transportation to addressing social isolation and caregiver needs, these challenges require innovative, collaborative solutions. The Age-Friendly in Rural Tennessee Webinar Series was created to meet that need. With the generous support of the National Rural Health Association and the John A. Hartford Foundation, this series will provide participants with practical tools and strategies to:

  • Improve care and outcomes for older adults
  • Reduce social isolation and strengthen connections
  • Support family caregivers and community-based solutions

What to Expect

Each webinar will spotlight real-world examples and collaborative efforts that are making a difference in rural Tennessee. Participants will hear from experts, community leaders and healthcare providers who are working on the ground to create age-friendly systems of care.

By the end of the series, attendees will walk away with actionable steps, new partnerships and resources to help make their communities more supportive and inclusive for older adults.

Who Should Attend

  • Healthcare Providers – rural health clinics, hospitals, nursing homes and care teams
  • Community Leaders – local government, nonprofits, senior centers and faith communities
